Barry Bates, President and CEO of InsideValuation, Inc. is a generally certified appraiser
(CA, NV) and has been a valuation professional in the mortgage industry since 1972. He has
served as Chief Appraiser (Residential and Commercial) for Wells Fargo Bank, Ameriquest Mortgage
and The Money Store; more recently he was property valuation manager for Countrywide Securities
and Morgan Stanley Mortgage Capital, then VP of RMBS property due diligence with Clear Capital.
He has acted as regional national accounts VP for First American Real Estate Solutions, as commercial
mortgage underwriter and AITD structural analyst at Consolidated Capital Companies, and as VP,
Development (condo, apartment, SFR) for FPI Real Estate Group and Sequoia Financial Corporation.
